From the beginning of its operations the Center has realized a number of cultural projects, including the international festival of theatre and music, concerts, street performances, happenings, urban games, competitions, exhibitions and events for Warsaw’s citizens. The institution is also home to a choir, publishes books and has a wide range of publications and media alongside running a library. In 2013, the Center for the Thought of John Paul II established the Institute for Scientific Research, which organizes international scientific conferences, summer schools, seminars, discussions and open debates. "We don't want to monumentalise him, but show that John Paul II was a globaliser" its deputy director Michał Łuczewski told reporter Danuta Isler.
