Irish pilgrims in Warsaw

Following the World Youth Day event in Kraków, thousands of foreign pilgrims travelled around Poland before returning home.

Seamus, Karen and Ciaron, members of a large Irish group, were “overwhelmed by the generosity of the Polish people” who opened their homes to them.
A visit to the former Nazi German concentration camp of Auschwitz is among their most profound memories.
“The mystery of suffering is something I will contemplate for the next few years,” Ciaron Broadberry told Polish Radio during a stop-over in Warsaw.
