Fighting African Swine Fever
Public services in Poland are joining forces to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever.

Apart from purely sanitary considerations, recurring outbreaks of the deadly animal disease have been economically detrimental, especially for Polish pig breeders and pork meat exporters who have incurred serious losses.
Sławek Szefs reports on efforts undertaken to stop the ASF virus.
"In order to provide adequate support for veterinary services in monitoring the relocation of animals, police as well as the Road Transport Inspectorate will be assisting these services to check all freight traffic involving pig [livestock] shipments across the entire country,” Rafał Romanowski, undersecretary of state at the Agriculture Ministry, told Polish Radio.
