Up to three years of prison for using terms like "Polish death camps" is proposed in a new bill that the Polish government adopted on Tuesday.

As Michał Owczarek reports, the authorities aim to deal with the problem of foreign politicians and foreign media outlets referring to Auschwitz and other camps that Nazi Germany ran in occupied Poland during World War II as "Polish."

“We should not limit ourselves to verbal protests only. I would like to make it clear that slandering and damaging Poland's good name will be combated head on and that the dignity of the generation of Poles who suffered under the Nazi German occupation will be defended," said Justice Minister Zbignew Ziobro.
