Retail sales up but less than expected, industrial production down
Those are the main conclusions coming from data released by Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS) for the month of July.

Sławek Szefs reports that some experts found the information surprising, others considered it simply disappointing.
“It is probable that the number of working days, which was one less on a monthly count and two days less in an annual comparison, had its bearing as the effective work hour total had been smaller and lower car production was also bound to have influence,” Krzysztof Wołowicz, chief economist at BPS TFI investment funds, told Polish Radio.
