The poems poet Wisława Szymborska, get modern musical twist
Jazz trumpeter Maciej Fortuna is also a composer and producer. He was always moved by the poems of Wisława Szymborska, a Polish poet who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1996.
His latest project, "Fortuna plays Szymborski", focuses on Szymborska’s life oeuvre. Music accompanies the late poet’s voice and work in a breath-taking multimedia show highlighted by modern computer animation.
The project will premiere in Kórnik, Szymborska’s birthplace, this Sunday.
