The three day event, called the Polish Davos, sees some 3,000 guests from over 50 countries representing the political and economic elites as well as experts and journalists.

The theme of this year's event "Europe facing challenges - united or divided?" focuses on the current situation on the Old Continent.

The opening of the second day of the forum saw PM Beata Szydło in talks with her Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Hrojsman with the focal issues on the agenda being the current situation in Ukraine and the role of Ukraine in relations between the East and West of Europe.

The Ukrainian PM also took part in the Monday meeting of PMs from the Visegrad Group V4 states, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, during which cooperation with Ukraine and the future of the EU were the most important issues discussed.

“The Visegrad Group is an important group, with vast ambitions and potential, but is also a group of states which have their formula to improve the EU,” said PM Beata Szydło during the debate in Krynica.
