Poland working on energy-policy guideline

Experts argue that it should take into account a global climate agreement reached in Paris last year, under which the signatories should formulate long-term greenhouse gas emission development strategies by 2020.

The European Commission has said it would soon start to prepare such a document for the European Union.

Poland's "low emission development strategy should entail not only the energy sector but also other sectors which are relevant to the country's climate agenda,” says Julia Michalak, an analyst from the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs specialising in the EU’s climate and energy policy, in an interview with Radio Poland's Agnieszka Łaszczuk.
