Sunday’s inaugural concert features the oratorio “The Return of the Prodigal Son”, a rarely performed work by Feliks Nowowiejski, who died 70 years ago this year.

In an exclusive interview for Radio Poland, the Music Director of the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Michał Klauza, says the work has a deep sense of emotion and a story line different from that in the Bible, with the mother welcoming the son back home.

Looking ahead to coming months, Klauza says concerts will focus on Polish music, including less known composers such as Henryk Wars, Roman Palester and Jerzy Gablenz.
