The second day of the event is dominated by trade with and investment in the East of the European continent. A leading theme in this year's edition is also economic cooperation with China with both Poland and Eastern European countries like Belarus interested in the Chinese investments in the so-called New Silk Road Initiative.

Initially, it envisaged the creation of a network of infrastructural connections, mainly transport corridors, between China and Europe – its most important economic partner. The concept grew in importance to become the key instrument of China’s foreign policy.
