Polish Film Festival wraps up in Gdynia
The 41st Polish Film Festival, the most prestigious showcase for the country’s new movies, wrapped up over the weekend in the coastal city of Gdynia.

This year, the coveted Golden Lions award went to "The Last Family” by Jan P. Matuszyński, a movie that focuses on the last 25 years in the life of Zdzisław Beksiński, a famous Polish Surrealist painter, and his family.
“I feel that what I do makes sense, and (…) soon it [the award] will encourage me to seek new ideas,” the 32-year-old director told a Polish Radio reporter.
