A team of British experts has visited Warsaw to present a programme of dealing with hate crimes and to assure that Poles living on the Isles can feel safe.

“We work closely with the police to build these cases and we also work with victims because without a victim and without witnesses it would be difficult to take a case forward,” says Alison Mutch from the Crown Prosecution Service.

Sławek Szefs reports this development comes in the wake of a recent series of attacks on Polish migrants in the UK, in which several persons sustained severe injuries and one died as a result of beatings carried out by groups of locals in some of the communities inhabited by Poles.
