This week we address this worrying spike in racially motivated attacks in Poland and speak to prof. Rafał Pankowski of the Never Again association.

"I am afraid that it is emblematic of a wider reality that we have observed recently," prof. Pankowski said in an interview with Radio Poland's Agnieszka Łaszczuk

"The far-right has managed to promote radical nationalist values successfuly among large grups of the younger generation in particular," the expert added.

Prof. Pankowski also said that "for some decades we have talked about the phenonemon which has been called 'antisemitism without Jews'."

"Today we can add to it 'Islamophobia without Muslims'."

The Never Again associaition promotes tolerance and monitors crime incidents in Poland.

Prof. Pankowski has published widely on racism and nationalism.
