Polish government discusses economic policy
The new Economic Committee held its inaugural session on Friday amidst high expectations set by the government leader and ruling quarters.

Sławek Szefs reports this new government body has been entrusted with coordinating economic related activity of various ministries and getting rid of the legacy of red tape mechanisms hampering much expected progress.
“In [her] earlier statements Prime Minister Szydło clearly said that the period for devising strategies and programmes has come to an end and now is the time for concrete actions,” said Krzysztof Wołowicz, chief economist at BPS TFI investment fund.
