As Michał Owczarek reports, filtering systems designed by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, southern Poland, could reduce particle pollution by 90% .
“We are currently designing a system that could be mounted on chimney tops, an additional advantage being that it doesn’t require extra space in the furnace room,” said Robert Kubica of the university.
