Not many in Poland, especially among the younger generation, know who Sue Ryder was despite the Briton dedicating a significant part of her life to working for Poles.

“The Museum was actually Sue Ryder’s idea, she established a museum in England in Cavendish to remind people about all those forgotten and sick, not just in the UK, but in many parts of the world, especially Poland,” Barbara Stachowiak-Kowalska of the Sue Ryder Foundation told Radio Poland’s Agnieszka Łaszczuk.

The Sue Ryder Musuem is located at the Mokotów Tollbooth, a small historic building in the heart of Warsaw, close to the Łazienki Royal Park.

Sue Ryder’s charity work earned her the title Lady Ryder of Warsaw.
