The first official meeting of President Andrzej Duda in Jerusalem was with President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and it mainly focused on current cooperation as well as a joint history.

President Rivlin recalled that Poland was the first country he visited when he assumed the post in 2014.

At the invitation of the former Polish president he attended the opening of Polin Museum of History of Polish Jews. Speaking after the meeting with Andrzej Duda in Jerusalem, Reuven Rivlin said that Poland and Israel have a common history, often painful, and spoke of the contemporary connections, underlining the economic and military: “Right now there is no field in which there was no ongoing cooperation between both countries. We are not only commercial partners. We have common values, common aims and we are close geographically” he said.
