Exactly 90 years after the film’s world premiere, Polish Radio paid tribute to the classic by staging a special show.
Directed by Fritz Lang, “Metropolis”, has inspired generations of filmmakers for almost a century. The movie had its premiere in Berlin on 10 January 1927. Taking the occasion, exactly 90 years on, Polish Radio staged a show combining theatre, opera, electronic music and rock sounds. The event accompanies the Soundedit festival whose director Maciej Werk gives more details about how it all started.
