The London Book Fair is the world’s largest event for the sale and distribution of content across all areas of the publishing industry, covering print, audio, TV, film and digital channels.

This year, some 50 Polish publishers and eleven Polish authors were invited to London to promote their work.

Zygmunt Miłoszewski, one of the authors taking part in the fair, said that reading foreign literature is important, especially today, because “Literature is like a keyhole. You can look through it to see what is really happening somewhere else.”

“Europe is a small continent, we do not know a lot about each other, except for some small pieces of information, stereotypes. A 500-page book which shows what it really looks like offers invaluable knowledge. It's the best anti-xenophobia vaccine,” he added.
