Kinoteka, the largest Polish film festival in the UK kicks off Friday 17 March, with a programme celebrating Polish cinema and culture.

The screenings, divided into sections focus this year on the late Andrzej Wajda, with a special retrospective of his best films planned, as well as contemporary and forgotten filmmakers and animation.
But Kinoteka is not only about films, says Robert Szaniawski, the director of the Polish Culture Institute in London, the organiser of the festival.
“There are many interesting sideline events, we cooperate with galleries, we have events in the area of music, we have masterclasses and workshops, so there are various areas of activity".
