Prime Minister Beata Szydło has said the Polish government will spend some PLN 4 million (USD 1 million) to help rebuild homes in war-torn Syria.

The new aid project will be carried out in cooperation with the Aid to the Church in Need organisation.
Szydło said the Polish government is actively helping those affected by conflict in the Middle East. "The government is not indifferent to what is happening in those parts of the world that are engulfed by war.”
She added that last year the Polish government had provided four times more funds to help people suffering in conflicts than it did in 2015. This year the sum is expected to increase.
