The event planned between 2-12 July is to see delegates from 190 countries.
The organisation is a big challenge and honour for Poland, and the choice of the historic city of Kraków is not accidental.
This city has its special place in the history of UNESCO – it was added the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites in 1978 as one of the first 12 sites around the globe.
The session in Kraków is the biggest international event organised by the Polish government this year, said deputy Culture Minister Magdalena Gawin. “We rarely see such giant events gathering well over 2,000 people from all over the world, and which last almost two weeks,” she said.
