The European Commission announced it is ready to present draft guidelines for negotiations on the project with Russia.

Sławek Szefs reports that Poland and other countries of the CEE region have voiced concern that Brussels may be inclined to adopt an approach favouring the interests of Germany, which is already linked with Russia through the first leg of Nord Stream.

“We are doing our best at the legislative level and in discussions with our partners to convince them that the gas pipeline poses a threat to this part of Europe,” deputy energy minister Michał Kurtyka told Polish Radio.
