Brussels launches procedure against Poland over refugees
The European Commission launched a legal case on Tuesday against Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic for failing to fulfil their pledges to accommodate refugees.

Poland is facing a fine, but even four to five years may pass before this takes effect.
“Other countries have shown some willingness to cooperate by merely taking in token migrant quotas and they are off the blacklist now. But a country that openly declares no compliance with its obligations is subject to proceedings,” said Jan Olbrycht, an MEP from the Civic Platform (PO) party.
