EU leaders agree on Common Defence Policy and Security
European Union leaders agreed on the need for permanent defence cooperation and increased measures in the fight against terrorism.

They made the decision on the first day of a two-day summit at the European Council in Brussels.
The President of the European Council Donald Tusk called the agreement a historic step in EU security.
