Experts on international security gathered in Warsaw to talk about the role of Poland and its allies in securing European Union's eastern border.

Poland, as well as other NATO allies are aware that it is necessary to improve their defence systems, as Europe is facing a threat from the east.

At the Warsaw summit last year, NATO members agreed to strengthen the eastern flank, including Poland, in light of Russian aggression just beyond the borders of the European Union. NATO troops are likely to remain stationed on its eastern flank until at least the year 2022.

However, Central European countries, and Poland in particular, are still debating different possibilities to further reduce their vulnerability.

Tomasz Ferenc spoke to Peter B. Doran, the Executive Vice President of the Center for European Policy Analysis, an expert on Russia and Ukraine, transatlantic defence and energy security to talk about the current threats to the European Union...
