Warsaw and NATO are closely watching preparations for Russian and Belarusian Zapad 2017 war games.

They will take place near the Polish border in September.The Alliance’s Secretary-General is coming over to Warsaw to discuss further NATO activities in the region.
"There is a lot of doubt and fears because of the Russian Federation’s hitherto activities, and it may turn out that not all forces and means will be withdrawn after the drills," Poland’s deputy defence minister Michał Dworczyk has said.
