Sławek Szefs reports that the growing number of vacancies has prompted many managers to seek potential employees among the ranks of foreign migrants, mainly from Ukraine.

Many of these people work on a short-term basis, being employed for six months.

“Then they go back home, only to return again, often to work for the same employer,” said Magdalena Sweklej, deputy director of the Labour Market Department at the Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Policy.

But there is also a growing number of people who stay in Poland for a longer period, Sweklej added.
