As the National Opera's introduction to the evening says, all three were citizens of the world and ambassadors of Polish music, and their works evoke "the hope and the energy of Poland after regaining independence in 1918, worth to remember especially on the eve of the anniversary."

Elżbieta Krajewska spoke to two of the choreographers of the Polish Ballet Evening, Jacek Przybyłowicz and Robert Bondara.
