US greenlights Patriot missiles for Poland
The US State Department on Friday approved a possible sale of the Patriot missile defence systems to Poland.
A memorandum on the deal was signed shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Warsaw in July for a summit of Central and Eastern European leaders.
“Poland should now receive a draft contract to be signed and in the meantime our experts will be painstakingly and thoroughly analysing and reviewing the document… The whole process is not going to take long, surely not years, as we are on the homestretch,” said Polish deputy defense minister Bartosz Kownacki.
