EU JAPAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT
The EU and Japan announced an agreement on a trade deal that would encompass 600 million people and almost a third of world GDP - the largest free trade agreement ever reached by the EU.

The agreement must now be ratified by EU member states and by the European Parliament before taking effect but it is already being seen in Poland as contributing to a significant increase in Poland's exports to Japan.
The Polish business organisation Lewiatan has called the deal 'remarkable' noting that it is not only designed to increase exports, but is also a clear signal of support for free trade and opposition to protectionist tendencies. "I am very much looking forward to the signing of the agreement because I think it would really help our companies, especially medium size companies, because big ones can always take care of themselves" Henryka Bochniarz, the chairperson of Lewiatan told Radio Poland.
