Time to lock the clocks?

The European Parliament last week adopted a resolution calling on the European Commission to back amendments to EU law relating to Daylight Saving Time.

Sławek Szefs reports that Poland is practically ready to stop setting clocks back and forward every year. An initiative to end Daylight Saving Time received the approval of the Polish parliament last year.
"The legislative process has been stopped due to procedural matters at the European level but there is clear social support among Poles for this proposal," MEP Andrzej Grzyb from the Polish People's Party (PSL) said in Strasbourg.
