Warsaw has accused Kiev of glorifying a controversial wartime resistance army guilty of massacring Polish civilians.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials have accused Poland of patronising Kiev.

Thus, traditional Polish-Ukrainian collaboration in confronting Russian policies may be undermined.

“We would like to hold a dialogue with Poland …[but] we are very much concerned about the development of topics on the agenda of the Polish government and Polish society that are linked to the past,” said Andrij Deszczycia, the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland.
