Polish drivers getting older: study
Some 8 million drivers in Poland are aged over 50, according to a study by the Warsaw-based Motor Transport Institute (ITS).

Sławek Szefs reports that the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure is considering introducing obligatory medical check-ups for older drivers.
"Biological changes affect physical capabilities as well as perception ability and reaction time,” Maria Dąbrowska-Loranc, the author of the ITS study, told Polish Radio. “Bone structure deteriorates, so making quick and abrupt manoeuvres becomes more difficult.”
