Polish president on constitution referendum

Polish President Andrzej Duda has said he will ask the upper house of Polish parliament to call a referendum to determine possible changes to the country's constitution.

He spoke on Thursday during celebrations marking the 227th anniversary of the adoption of the Polish Constitution, saying that he wants a referendum to take place on November 10-11.

The date raises many eyebrows, not only among the opposition.

On November 11, 2018, Poland will make 100 years since it regained independence after the first World War.
