While an ice-cream parlour in Wrocław makes the European ranking of the top twenty, other makers have been racking imaginations to come up with intriguing new flavours, alcoholic included. But Poles are still way behind Europe's ice-cream eaters, and it's mostly the summertime sun which makes us reach for a cone. Agnieszka Bielawska & Elżbieta Krajewska consider.
