Polish NGO urges quicker action against smog
An NGO is nudging the Polish government to step up efforts to tackle air pollution in the country.

In September, the government launched its Clean Air initiative to deal with the problem of smog in cities nationwide, but the Polish Smog Alert organisation says the programme is not being carried out quickly enough.
According to the NGO, the process of replacing old and inefficient stoves in many homes, one of the main causes of smog in the country, is taking too long.
