The formal launch to the year's celebrations of Poland's great composer
2019 is dedicated to Stanisław Moniuszko, whose 200th birth anniversary falls this year. The celebrations began with a gala performance of a rare Italian version of his opera Halka in Warsaw, and with the capital's Central Railway Station given his name. Elżbieta Krajewska presents.
