Zbyszek Cybulski Awards granted

Magdalena Popławska won the main Jury award for her role in a 'Simple Story about Love' directed by Arkadiusz Jakubik whereas Jakub Gierszał walked away with the audience award for his portrayal of a troubled teen in 'The Suicide Room' by Jan Komasa.

The awards, which has been running since 1969, are given to the best young actors who display outstanding individuality. They are named after the cult Polish actor Zbigniew Cybulski, who starred in some of Poland's greatest films such as the 1958 classic 'Ashes and Diamonds' directed by Andrzej Wajda.
