  • Recent efforts to result in Poland's inclusion in Visa Waiver Program?
A look at the draft legislation regarding US iVisa Waiver Program, recently introduced to the congress.

A draft law designed to drop the necessity of visas for “important allies like Poland” has been introduced to both houses on Capital Hill. Representative Mike Quigley (Dem) introduced The Visa Waiver Enhanced Security and Reform Act to Congress. He had been working on the draft legislation with senators Barbara Mikulski (Dem) and Mark Kirk (Rep) who introduced the project to the Senate the same day.

According to analysts, the visa waiver holds importance for the US central European relationship. Will this latest effort result in real changes?

Our reporter Danuta Isler talks to Peter B. Doran, Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), a non-profit institute dedicated to the study of central Europe.
