The story of organising help for a pacific island's village called... Poland
Almost right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, there is a country called Kiribati, home to one of the world's poorest nations. Some 300 of the island's residents live in a small village - called Poland. It might sound like a legend, but according to the AZORA Association, life in Poland is no fairy tale.
AZORA's (Australia, New Zealand and Oceania Research Association) director, Dariusz Zdziech, talks to our Krakow correspondent Nick Hodge about the hardship faced by the residents of Poland and their actions aiming at raising awareness and helping out.
More about the AZORA Association on their website.
