‘Pro-life’ march in Warsaw

Between one and two thousand attended the March for Life and Family in Warsaw, Sunday, under the slogan “Family – a recipe for the crisis”.

"You go in a good cause, for the sake of life and family. Without these two things there would be nothing in Poland, Europe and the world, Archbishop of Warsaw, Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz told the the crowd, who had marched from the centre of the capital to the Temple of Divine Providence in Wilanow.
Police say around 1200 attended the march, though organizers claimed a turnout of 2,000.
The participants were made up of mostly young families with children carrying banners which read "Stop Abortion", "I choose life," and "I support the family."
The march came a day after around 5,000 gays and lesbians marched through Warsaw calling for more tolerance for sexual minorities. (pg)
