Ignacy (104) and Stefania Stasiak (101) originally tied the knot way back in 1931.

They took their marriage vows 82 years ago today in their native town of Aleksandrow Lodzki, central Poland, where the pair still lives.

“They stress that their whole married life has been harmonious,” said Agata Kowalska, a spokesperson for the town council, as cited by the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

“Of course, there have been minor disagreements, but these were quickly resolved,” she added.

Before retiring several decades ago, Ignacy worked as a master carpenter in the town. His wife spent many years working in a local hosiery factory.

The couple will be celebrating crossing the 82-year mark with family. (nh)
