The poll by TNS Polska found that Prime Minister Donald Tusk's centre-right party is on 23 percent with the conservative Law and Justice on 30 percent - extending its lead by two percent compared to last month.

CBOS notes that Civic Platform has been losing ground steadily to the opposition since this March as the economy slows and divisions within Civic Platform have emerged over social policies such as civil partnerships.

The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) would receive 10 percent of the popular vote if elections were held in June, with the liberal Palikot Movement on six percent.

No other party would receive the minimum of five percent, including the junior coalition partner, the Polish Peasants Party (PSL), to be eligible for a seat in the lower house of parliament (Sejm).

The CBOS poll was conducted between 6 and 12 June 2013 from a representative sample of 969 Poles over the age of 18 years. (pg)
