In the latest survey by TNS Polska, three-in four Poles, or 74 per cent, are critical of the performance of Tusk’s Civic Platform/PSL coalition government.

Just 18 per cent of Poles praise the government of Donald Tusk with only one percent of respondents having a ‘very positive’ view of his cabinet.

Nineteen percent of Poles say they are happy, to a varying degree, to see Donald Tusk in the post of Prime Minister but as many as 72 percent of the respondents express an opposite view.

The popularity of the government - in power since 2007 - began to plummet late late last year as the economy slowed after years of robust growth.

The next general election is scheduled for 2015.

President Bronisław Komorowski is assessed far more favourably, with 48 per cent of the respondents saying that he performs his duties very well or quite well and 39 per cent being critical of him. (mk/pg)
