In accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, All Saints' Day, a national holiday in Poland, is a day "in celebration of those who are saved and enjoy eternal happiness in heaven."
Fund raising events will also be taking place at cemeteries, the largest collection being organized every year at Warsaw's Powazki cemetery and the Rakowicki cemetery in Krakow, where many of Poland's most important historical figures are buried. (pg)
