Hundreds of tourists and staff were evacuated from the former royal citadel of Wawel, after the emails were read this morning.
Six other public institutions were threatened in Krakow alone, while regional government offices in Poznan, Lodz and Bydgoszcz also fell victim.
Police were also called in to check the Customs Chamber in Wrocław, as well as customs offices in Walbrzych and Legnica.
The Military Institute of Engineering Technology in Glogow was also targeted. (nh)
