Teenagers 'confess' to killing parents

An 18-year-old man and his girlfriend have apparently confessed to the brutal murder of the former's parents near Biala Podlaska, eastern Poland.

Kamil N.'s (full name withheld under Polish privacy laws) parents died of multiple stab wounds at their house in Rakowiska in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to police, the teenagers planned the murder over a period of two weeks.
Allegedly, Kamil N.'s parents had objected to his choice of girlfriend, Zuzanna M., also 18.
''After watching some violent films, they concluded that they could kill Kamil's parents,'' said Beata Syk-Jankowska, a spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.
''At first, it was supposed to be a joke, but after a while they decided that it was a good idea,'' she added.
The pair could serve life sentences if found guilty of murder. (nh)
