More men making use of paternal leave

Polish fathers are increasingly staying at home to raise children, while the women go out to work.

There are over 149,000 men who are on paternity leave, says Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. This is merely a third of the figure for females, but a sharp increase from what was observed in the past.
In 2013, 800 men made use of a new-introduced form of parental benefit – a six month parental leave. This year the figure had increased to almost five thousand. (rg)
