In the 2013-2014 winter, a total of 75 individuals died of hypothermia, data by the Polish police shows.

“At present, as the temperature drops, more and more people are willing to spend the night at our facilities. However, we are not yet at full capacity,” said Przemyslaw Bogusz of the Monar agency, which helps homeless people.

Bogusz added that even if the facilities are full, they never reject any people, as long as the homeless are sober. (rg)
